Declassified information on the location of Jessie Fordham, SOE agent Midnight, during the war years of World War II, 1939-1945, and post war years 1946-1947

The invasion of the low countries and France was expected, yet still took these countries and the British, by surprise. On instructions from Colonel Fordham in the British Embassy, Paris, Jessie Fordham gathered her group, and began their forced march across France to Dunkirk, and a hoped for freedom from the Nazi Blitzkrieg.

Jessie and her party travelled from the Midnight Lake, close to Roc la Tour in the Ardennes Forest, onto Rue de Rocroi, Cinq-Façons, Baileux, Chimay, Beaumont, Erquelinnes, Frameries, Tournai, Roubaix, Mons and finally, Dunkirk.
